Dear Friends and Colleagues-
As we continue to monitor the unfolding progress and recommendations by our state and local officials with regards to “re-opening” Texas, I wanted to give you an update on where our practice currently stands.
At this time the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners is recommending guidelines to reopen practices across the state of Texas. As dates have changed we have done our best to keep your health and safety as our top priority along with balancing the need for unresolved dental issues to be addressed.
During the week of May 11th, we will begin the process of seeing some of the backlog of patients for pertinent restorative needs. We will also begin seeing patients for routine hygiene visits and periodontal maintenance.
We are taking extra steps and measures to ensure the safety of our patients, staff and ultimately our community. You will notice these significant changes:
Patients are asked to stay in their cars when they arrive - please call our office and we will let you know when your seat is ready and you can enter the office.
Patients are asked to wear a mask - we can provide one if you do not have one.
Upon entering our office - please use hand sanitizer which is provided.
Every patient will be asked to respond to COVID-19 questionaire.
We will take your temperature upon entering the office with a touchless thermometer.
If you have run a temperature of 100.4 or greater, you will be asked to reschedule.
Appointments are given much longer than usual time in order to completely clean and disinfect the office without patient overlap - drastically reducing the number of patients we can see in a day.
Before treatment you will be asked to rinse with 1.5% Hydrogen Peroxide rinse.
Our dental team will be wearing much more PPE for your protection and ours.
We will be monitoring our temperatures twice daily as a precaution.
Our office may be a bit cooler - please bring a blanket or coat if you think you may need one.
Please be patient with us as we seek to gradually reintegrate into a new practice rhythm given all that has transpired with the global pandemic. We will do our best to accommodate you with the limited amount of appointment times we have available.
Please understand that we care for you and are constantly trying to stay up to date with the best and safest practices.
I have missed seeing each of you and truly can’t wait to reconnect and catch up with you soon.
If in the meantime, you have a concern or comment I can address, please do not hesitate to reach out.
